Priorart is simply the relative information available in any form (patent, electronic document, publication etc) prior to the document filed. Generally the Priorart is explained using citations as references with in the patent. The Priorart distinguishes the actual invention with the existing work which makes the examiner grant or judge the novelty of the patent. Trade secrets are not considered as Priorart.
